The Black Groups

The movement of the Black groups, who brought agriculture, cattle, and a knowledge of mineral processing with them, culminated in Shaka’s so-called Mfecane (the crushing) that led to a redistribution of Black groups in Southern Africa. The "Father of the Zulu Nation" was killed by some of his half-brothers in 1828 and one of them, Dingaan, then became the new Zulu king.
